Gling started to exist in 2020, when the first YANA was published. In 2025, an association was created to structure our activities and anchor ourselves in one place, Rennes, the capital of Brittany in the west of France. We have two main activities: books and magazines creation, publishing and distribution, and show production and administration.

Gling is a home for the publishing endeavors of Florence Schroeder and the shows of Wes Peden.

Alone in one’s room, performing on stage or as a community activity, expressive movement and play are deeply human and connect us all. We love the weird, the radically conceptual, the nerdiest niche, the generously emotional, the playfulness and freedom in bodies and objects.

Printed matter and live performance act for us both as an archive and a playground, a place to experiment and reflect, and a platform to highlight personal stories.
